“When I went in for my lipid profile I was an active and I thought healthy 36 year-old weighing 126lbs at 5ft 5 inches. I was shocked to learn that my LDL cholesterol was 161! I have always eaten healthfully limiting processed foods, but after taking a look at my diet I realized I was eating a lot of saturated dairy fat. However, I exercised regularly so I was still confounded by the results and I could only conclude that I must have a genetic predisposition to high cholesterol.
