The author explains the mechanism behind cholesterol in the first couple of chapters, and then lists 9 foods that will lower cholesterol via different mechanisms in the next few chapters. She doesn’t just list the foods, she gives specific amounts so it’s extremely practical, and she even lists them in a nice chart that anyone can print out and put on their fridge. The combination of these foods creates a synergistic effect to lower cholesterol significantly. Also, to top it off, she provides lots of great recipes using combinations of the recommended foods. In my opinion, this book is one-stop-shopping for anyone interested in learning more about cholesterol as well as lowering cholesterol levels.”
